Spectacular views from Hells Backbone

Boulder, Utah is certainly one of my favorite places to go. I am offered beautiful scenery that sparks my imagination, I have the great company of my parents, I enjoy my mom's gourmet cooking (and I try to only gain 5 pounds per visit), just love being out it nature with my camera in hand, and feeling really close to God and his creations. What a great thing for the psyche! While I am there I always take in a few days of fishing and I usually out
fish all of the men. During the hunting season, it is my destination of choice, and I love to take my buddy Taylor on adventurous nature walks. I do love this place!

Heber Valley Girls Camp 2008

All things wise and wonderful, all things great and small, all things bright and beautiful, the good Lord made them all!!!!

My little best buddy Taylor turns 4 years old!

Where does the time go? I can't believe that Taylor just turned 4 years old. It seems only yesterday that she was snuggled up under my neck as I rocked her to sleep. I have great memories of teaching her to love nature and looking at every little thing as we took the "grandma nature" walks. We would come back home with her stroller full of sticks, pine cones, flowers, rocks and leaves. She is one in a million and a delight to her grandma Betty.

You are my sunshine...Johnie Boy's 1st birthday

This is one of my sweethearts...Jonathan! He just celebrated his first birthday. He was the star of his party. He laughed, smiled, and clapped at every gift and made us all happy. He is such a good pleasant boy. Just being around him is a joy. Being a grandma is a wonderful thing. You don't need to sweat the small everyday things, you just get to sit back and enjoy every minute you are with them.

Boulder Deer Hunt

I drew my dear tag...I have a great place to go. I am anxious...ready. How is this for a 4x5? I was pretty excited to go hunting this year with Steve, Mitchell, Victoria and Shane. You wouldn't think that being exhausted climbing up and down the mountains all day would be any fun, but it is great! Nothing like being out in God's country , the smell of pine in the air, good mountain dirt under you feet, great family and friends to hang out with, and a delicious hot meal waiting for you at mom and dad's house at the end of the tiring day. Nothing could be finer!

Timberline's Keep on Truckin'

This is the newest addition to my dog sled team. His AKC registered name is Timberline's Keep on Truckin' and his call name is Mack. He came to my home at the end of July. I have been working with him to become one of my lead dogs. He is a character. As I look out the back door I see him sitting up on one of the chairs around the table like he is an honored dinner guest, or plopped on top of the table really enjoying himself. He also loves water. When he is playing and wrestling (and a lot of that goes on) with the other dogs, he runs as fast as he can and jumps into the water trough to get a drink. Then he dives to the bottom with his whole head and comes up flinging water all over everyone. When he was only three months old I entered him in the Summit County Fair dog show. Usually they don't allow puppies to show, but they opened the competition up to every one. Well, Mack wowed the crowd with his cute looks, charming personality and took second place. It was the first time for both of us and we had a great time. He learns obedience commands really easy and could sit and stay by the time he was 4 months old. Lets hope that he continues to be a great learner and in the future helps me take first place in a dog sled race.
